Our board of directors are volunteers who bring a wide range of expertise, skill sets and passion to help guide Project Scholars' mission and long-term goals. They direct strategic plans and actions to promote the organization's scholarship program among other responsibilities.

Paul Rountree

Paul Rountree is a native Floridian and is Regional President of Mainstreet Community Bank. He served as an Aviation Specialist in the Army and was named “Soldier of the Year."

Secretary

Patty delaney

Patty Delaney is an administrative assistant at Pinecrest Lakes Academy in Minneola. She is a photographer and active community supporter.

Lisa Busto is the Director of Community Engagement at the National Entrepreneur Center in Orlando and also serves as the Communications Coordinator at First United Methodist Church of Clermont MORE

Tom English

Tom English has been a Project Scholars/Pig on the Pond board member since 2008. Tom is the Sales Leader/Sr. Mortgage Loan Advisor for Coast2Coast Lending. He is a graduate of Barry University. MORE

Jo ann jones, PhD

Jo Ann Jones has been a Lake County resident since 1986 and is a lifelong educator. She has a doctorate in educational leadership and is involved in several community nonprofits.

Ray villegas

Ray Villegas is Vice President of Lake Economic Area Development (LEAD) and Business Creation. He was formerly manager of a UCF mentorship program with previous experience in leadership with CareerSource of Central Florida and the South Lake Chamber of Commerce
